What Jobscan is for — and what we will not steal
Jobscan’s job is a resume-versus-JD report: keywords, hard skills, and a match number recruiters never see. That is a real product. People pay for more scans when they are still rewriting. We are not going to pretend we invented that category or that our teaser is a full forensic audit of every ATS on earth.
Resume.win’s ATS checker answers a narrower question: which tokens from this pasted posting appear in the resume you would send? It is free, no account, one JD. It is not a vanity “beat the robot” score. It is not a promise you are qualified. It is coverage so you can tailor or skip.
The product starts when you save that result as an Apply Kit. Tailor the resume on the same posting, write a cover from that JD or skip the letter if the employer forbids it, mark Applied, and log reply, screen, offer, or silence. Jobscan can stop at the PDF. We do not want to.

A 90% match with a resume you never submitted teaches you nothing. A 70% match you actually sent, then a logged silence two weeks later, teaches you whether that family of postings is worth another kit. That record lives on /job-tracker — CRM after Applied, not a scraped board.
Two versions can be compared in a private dashboard when each has enough applications. Public totals on /proof stay hidden until there are about twenty-five kits and ten outcomes. We will not put a trophy percentage next to Jobscan’s logo.
Cover letters are not templates. They are written from the same JD as the resume, inside the kit. Skip them when the posting says not to. Finish the kit anyway. Jobscan’s writing add-ons are a different surface; ours is not a gallery of reusable openers.
Interview Pro is a paid mock on the posting you already applied to. It is not a free question bank and not an ATS feature. Practice after the kit. Do not expect a mock to raise a keyword score.
When to stay on Jobscan and when to switch
Stay on Jobscan if you are still exploring titles and you want a dedicated scoring UI with a history of scans. Switch when the score is no longer the bottleneck — when you lose the file you sent, skip the cover, and never write down whether anyone replied.
Bring your own posting either way. Resume.win does not list jobs. We do not place candidates. A comparison that claims we will “get you in front of hiring managers” is the thing this page refuses to be.
Career centers and coaches review Apply Packs — the exact kit a student or client submitted — not a leftover PDF from last month. That is not a Jobscan feature and not a reason to restuff this URL with workshop keywords. Those intents stay on /career-centers and /coaches.
