Browser extension

Send any JD to Apply Kit in one click

Capture title, company, and cleaned job text from LinkedIn, Indeed, Greenhouse, Lever, or Workday — then finish Apply Kit on Resume.win. We don’t list jobs; you bring the JD.

Install (Chrome / Edge)

  1. Open chrome://extensions (or edge://extensions)
  2. Enable Developer mode
  3. Load unpacked → choose the apps/browser-extension folder (or the ZIP from npm run extension:package)
  4. Optional: set App URL to http://localhost:3000 for local testing

Store listing not live yet — use unpacked install above, or upload the ZIP from npm run extension:package to the Chrome Web Store. After approval, set NEXT_PUBLIC_CHROME_WEB_STORE_URL in Azure and redeploy (this page then shows Add to Chrome). Privacy: /extension/privacy.

One-click send

Open a job page → click the extension → Resume.win opens with the JD ready for Apply Kit.

Select text → send

LinkedIn DOM changes often. Highlight the job description, then click Send — selection always wins.

Paste still works

No extension? Bookmarklet or paste URL/JD in My Jobs — same Apply Kit loop.

After install: open any posting → select the JD if the page looks weird → Send to Apply Kit → finish tailor → ATS → cover → Applied in under 5 minutes.

A Chrome extension for Apply Kit, not a job board

People searching for a Resume.win extension should land here. This is not a resume-builder landing and not a scraped feed of openings. You already found a posting. The extension sends that JD into the same loop as paste: import → kit → Applied.

LinkedIn and ATS career pages change their DOM often. One-click send works when the page is clean. When it is not, select the job text first — selection always wins. That is why “highlight then send” exists.

Paste still works without the extension. Use this page if you live in the browser on LinkedIn or Indeed and want fewer copy-paste mistakes. Use /career-centers if you are running a workshop, not installing an extension. Use /resume-builder if you still need a base file before you capture a JD.

What the extension sends — and what it does not

It sends title, company, URL, and cleaned description when it can read them. It does not auto-apply. It does not scrape a board for you. It does not store the JD on our servers until you import it in your account.

Privacy details live on /extension/privacy. We do not need your LinkedIn password. If the store listing is not live yet, this page still explains unpacked install so reviewers and early users can test.

After send, you still have to finish Apply Kit. A captured JD with no tailored resume is just another tab. Mark Applied and log the outcome or the capture taught you nothing. Title and company can be edited on import if the parser guessed wrong.

When to skip the extension

Skip it if you already paste JDs and that is fast enough. Skip it if you are on a phone — the mobile loop is paste or a later app. Skip it if you wanted a resume template gallery; that is not this product.

Career centers should send a cohort signup link, not ask every student to sideload an unpacked zip. Coaches can use Apply Packs without the extension.

One Apply Kit is free. The extension does not unlock extra kits. Extra kits still come from referrals or a paid plan after you finish a real application. If you wanted Easy Apply automation, this is the wrong product — we capture, you submit.

How to use this page

  1. Install the extension. Add it from the Chrome Web Store when the listing is live, or load the unpacked folder for local testing.
  2. Open a real posting. LinkedIn, Indeed, Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, or a careers page. Resume.win does not list jobs.
  3. Send to Apply Kit. One click, or highlight the JD first if the page is messy. Title, company, and cleaned text land in import.
  4. Finish the kit on Resume.win. Tailor, ATS-check, write a cover, mark Applied, log the outcome. The extension only captures the JD.

FAQ

Is there a Resume.win Chrome extension?
Yes. This page is the public landing. Add it from the Chrome Web Store when the URL is set, or load unpacked from the repo. It sends a JD into Apply Kit. It does not list jobs.
Does the extension auto-apply on LinkedIn?
No. It captures the posting and opens import. You tailor, score, write a cover, and mark Applied yourself. We are not an Easy Apply bot.
What if one-click misses the job description?
Highlight the JD text, then send. Selection wins over a fragile parse. You can also paste the URL or text on My Jobs.
Is the extension a resume builder?
No. The builder is /resume-builder. The extension only ships the posting into the kit. Do not treat this URL as a template landing.
